On Saturday 14th of June 2025, CAMNAFAW Bamenda was solicited by the Standing committee on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV/AIDs SCORA – under the Cameroon Medical student’s Association-CAMSA for a Community Health Workshop. This workshop took place at the University of Bamenda under the patronage of the District Medical Officer, Dr. Gilbert Nsoh Fomeh represented by Mme Njeck Flora.
As a partnering organisation to this workshop, we had the opportunity to educate approximately 200 youths on the concept of Comprehensive Sexuality Education, drawing the attention of the young people on the availability of services related to Sexual Reproductive Health.
Being a form of campaign to generate services, CAMNAFAW Bamenda during her presentation delivered by the Regional Coordinator Mme EKOUME NDEMA Irene did not only talk on services related to SRH but equally provided HIV and Hepatitis B screening to 150 youths. This screening exercise was done in close collaboration with the team from the Tubah District Medical Center.
It was a successful program, and CAMNAFAW Bamenda congratulates Miss Ako Yitu Confidence who is a Peer Educator and Youth Volunteer with CAMNAFAW Bamenda for organising this program. The workshop was her initiative. We are proud of you Confidence.
