On Friday, September 13, 2024, the 18th National General Assembly of CAMNAFAW Youth was held at the new conference room of the Executive Management located at Mballa 2, behind Masque Hôtel.
The meeting brought together members of youth delegations from CAMNAFAW’s eight regional branches. The session began with an introduction of the participants, followed by an encouraging welcome from CAMNAFAW’s Executive Director, Mr. Lotti EDJENGUELE, and an inspiring opening speech from the National President of the CAMNAFAW Youth Forum, Miss Awawou MANDUNH BOHOU.
The Assembly’s proceedings covered a number of points:
– Point of Procedure: Presentation and adoption of the minutes of the previous General Meeting, to take stock of past decisions and ensure continuity of work.
– Activity report: The General Secretary of the National Youth Forum presented the highlights of the past year, illustrating the Forum’s dynamism and ability to mobilize young people around essential causes.
– Financial report: The National Treasurer presented a detailed statement of youth volunteer contributions by region, outlining financial resources and the challenges to be met to ensure the sustainability of actions.
– Moral report: The National President underlined the crucial importance of the commitment of young volunteers.
– Exchanges of Experience: Participants shared their experiences in governance, resource mobilization, program management and finance, enriching collective thinking and strengthening the network.
– Action plan: The National Youth Forum 2024 action plan was presented, aimed at energizing community engagement and strengthening impact with young people.
– Adoption of Resolutions and Recommendations: Several resolutions were adopted unanimously.
At the end of the proceedings, rich in exchanges and innovative ideas, the National President gave a closing address that sounded like a call to action. She also encouraged participants to pursue their efforts with passion and determination, for it is together that we can overcome all the challenges we face.
This General Assembly was a true moment of celebration of unity by young people and for young people, a powerful moment in which every voice counts.
